Motorcycle Riders Tell Me If you Have This Problem?

I recently got myself a scooter because I have a full size Chevy Silverado and with gas prices I have been getting killed at the pump. The scooter has been great but I have been having this one problem. When I come up to an intersection where there are no other cars at a stop light. The scooter does not trip the sensor. So I will sit there in the middle of the night forever. I have tried everything. Including now I go up the wheelchair ramp and hit the button to cross in the crosswalk. So I wondered all you motorcycle riders do you have this problem? Is there something I can do? I have done the flick my high beam at the light and nothing works. Does anyone know how these things work and what can I do? (Besides doing the wheelchair ramp thing).

Patrick, try this; 1. Look for the cut lines in the street near the intersection 2. Align your bike lengthwise to activate the sensor in the street 3. If that dose not work, place your kickstand on the cut line in the street to activate the street sensor. Hope it works for your scooter.
