Wednesday marked the two-year anniversary of the helicopter crash that took the lives of Kobe and Gianna Bryant and an artist found a way to honor them.

A sculptor named Dan Medina placed a 160-pound statue of the father-daughter pair near the crash site in Calabasas.
The statue shows Kobe with his arm around Gianna, but also includes the names of the seven other victims who perished in the 2020 crash.

The statue reads, “Heroes come and go but legends are forever.”
Medina has told reporters that he hopes to eventually have a larger version on display in L.A.
