Half of the 60 Freeway between Beaumont and Moreno Valley will be shut down for three consecutive days, August 7th through August 9th, 2020.

The other half of the freeway will be partially closed during the same time period.

Beginning August 7th, crews working on the State Route 60 Truck Lanes Project will close the westbound 60 between Gilman Springs Road and the Interstate 10 interchange and will shut down one lane on the eastbound side

The westbound closure will start at 9 p.m. Friday, August 7th  and run through 6 a-m on  Monday, August 10th.

The lane closure on the eastbound side will only be during the overnight hours from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Friday, August 7th through Monday, August 10th.

Both eastbound lanes will be available for daytime travel.

The $113 million reconstruction project on the 60 Freeway has been going on for one year already and should be finished by the summer of 2022.

Crews are widening a five-mile stretch of the 60 through the Badlands in Moreno Valley.

Who is paying for the project?  You are, through the County sales tax, and state and federal grants.
