Audiences in China finally got to see the box office smash Bohemian Rhapsody following a few changes to the original theatrical release to satisfy their government.
Several minutes of the Oscar-winning flick were left on the cutting room floor, removing all references to the Queen frontman’s sexuality, including the moment where he comes out.
Footage of two men kissing, a close-up of Freddie Mercury’s crotch, and a scene of the band in drag were also edited out.
Users on Chinese social media site Sina Weibo gave the film mostly positive reviews, but questioned the need for a censored version. t?
