If you were anywhere near social media on Wednesday night, there was no way to avoid the heated debate that exploded over this one — Clayton Kershaw was yanked from a shot at baseball history.

The three-time Dodgers Cy Young winner had a chance to add a perfect game to his resume through seven innings against the Minnesota Twins.

But, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts pulled Kershaw 80 pitches into his start, opting to save his arm this early in the season over a chance at the 24th perfect game in MLB history.

Kershaw himself said after the game he was disappointed, but also on board with the call.
