County Covid-19 Tally Passes One-Thousand; Cases Mount In The Coachella Valley

As of Wednesday morning April 8th, 2020, Riverside County has 1,016 positive cases of Covid-19, with 28 deaths and 67 people recovered.

57 cases in Palm Springs, 7 deaths

55 cases in Indio, 2 deaths

46 cases in Palm Desert, 2 deaths

37 cases in Coachella, 0 deaths

31 cases in Cathedral City, 1 death

25 cases in La Quinta, 0 deaths

18 cases in Rancho Mirage, 2 deaths

9 cases in Indian Wells, 0 deaths

8 cases in Desert Hot Springs, 0 deaths

2 cases in Idyllwild/Pine Cove

26 cases in unincorporated areas of the valley

34 cases in Banning, 1 death

18 cases in Beaumont, 1 death

94 cases and 3 deaths in Moreno Valley, 96 cases and 1 death in Riverside

480 cases among women, 482 men

474 cases in the age group 40 to 64 years of age.

You are advised to stay home, avoid all other people, and cover your face if you have to go out for essential errands only.

The tests are being done at the County Fairgrounds in Indio by appointment only.
