If you ever find yourself making a bet with the Foo Fighters, it’s good to know that they will pay up if you win.

Especially if you’re the frontman. A little bit ago, Dave Grohl sat down with the people at the Bon Appétit Foodcast and revealed how he won some big money from his bandmates on a wager involving an unfinished track.

According to Grohl, everyone promised him $1,000 each if he could complete “Seven Corners,” which he had been working on for 20 years.

When the time came to collect, rather than turn over the cash, bass player Nate Mendel bought Grohl a Big Green Egg BBQ grill, which was waiting for him when he returned home from the European leg of the tour.
