East Valley Sees Majority Of Covid-19 Cases In The Desert

As of Monday, June 1st, 2020

Riverside County has 7,486  positive cases of Covid-19, as of Monday, June 1st, 2020.

1,608 cases are in the Coachella Valley.

1,392 of those are in cities.

216 cases are in unincorporated areas of the desert (Bermuda Dunes, Thousand Palms, Sky Valley, Mecca, Thermal, Oasis, Vista Santa Rosa)

 

There have been 323 deaths linked to Covid-19 in Riverside County as of Monday, June 1st, 2020.

62 of those deaths are in the Coachella Valley.  58 deaths in cities, 4 deaths in unincorporated Mecca.

137 cases in Palm Springs, 9 dead

41 cases in Rancho Mirage, 3 dead

151 cases in Cathedral City, 3 dead

184 cases in Palm Desert, 22 dead

350 cases in Indio, 7 dead

131 cases in La Quinta   9 dead

85 cases in Desert Hot Springs, 1 dead

300 cases in Coachella,  4 dead

13 in Indian Wells, no deaths

5 cases in Idyllwild/Pine Cove

3 cases in Cabazon, 1 dead

1,286 cases in Riverside,  99 dead

792 cases in Moreno Valley, 23 dead

269 cases in Hemet, 21 dead.      127 cases in San Jacinto, 5 dead

209 cases in Beaumont, 11 dead.   106 cases in Banning, 5 dead

4,563 people have recovered from the Covid-19 virus.

202 are hospitalized (including new patients from Imperial County).

2,398 are quarantined at home in various stages of recovery.

112,412  people have been tested so far.

 

All testing is free to the patient being tested.

 

Drive-thru testing is available by appointment only at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio from 9 a-m to 3 p-m Tuesday through Saturday, by appt only. You can also get tested at the Cathedral City Library on Date Palm Drive. Call 800-945-6171 to make an appointment, and you no longer need to have symptoms to schedule a test.

The county is also doing testing at 790 S. State Street in San Jacinto, and 921 S Belle St in Corona, and the Mellman Library on County Centre Drive in Temecula.
