A total of 4 people are now under arrest in connection with an armed robbery just before Christmas 2020 in La Quinta.

 

Luis Jose Leyva Jr and Noe Millan Mora, both of Desert Hot Springs, have already pleaded not guilty to armed robbery charges.

 

Two other felons have just been arrested, Fernando Leal Jr of Indio and Garrett Thomas Basich of Desert Hot Springs.

 

This robbery occurred on December 20th 2020 inside the Arnold Palmer PGA West community in La Quinta, when the men used Ak-47 assault rifles to attack two men, beating them unconscious, then robbing them of their valuables and running away.

 

Leyva has prior felony convictions including burglary and vehicle theft, Basich has three felony convictions for grand theft, and Leal has a felony conviction for kidnapping.

 

It is not known how Mora got tied in with that bunch, as he has no criminal convictions on his record yet.
