Geddy Lee Admits Parts of his Book Appeal Only to ‘the Most Nerdy of Nerds’

If while reading “Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book of Bass,” you suddenly realize your mind was wandering as you glossed over the last 10 pages, don’t feel too bad. Even Lee acknowledges that some parts of his book are interesting only to “the most nerdy of nerds.” In the book, Lee shares the history of 250 different bass guitars. While that might sound a bit boring even to the aforementioned nerdiest of nerds, the former Rush frontman also includes anecdotes and colorful photos with each entry — which he says gives the tome its entertainment value. “The stories were a big motivator for me to put all of this in one package,” Lee says.
