Green Day Song Makes Comeback as September Ends

Guess which Green Day song roared back with a number of new views on the last day of September? “Wake Me Up When September Ends” amassed nearly 400,000 new views on Monday, representing a 135 percent spike for the clip.

The additions bring the song’s total number of views to more than 151 million since it was posted in October of 2009 — 10 years ago.

In terms of music sales, the track — from Green Day’s “American Idiot” album — went platinum in August 2008.
