Hinted at around the start of summer by one of the collaborators, Josh Homme’s Desert Sessions will re-emerge with a pair of releases next month.

The Queens of the Stone Age frontman revived the project after 16 years, recording eight songs at his Joshua Tree Ranch.

Appearing on Volumes 11 and 12 will be Les Claypool, Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears, and Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint, along with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, who leaked the news back in June.

The New York Times says look for the material to drop in October, while Gibbons previously revealed around Halloween.
