In 2021 Judas Priest will be celebrating 50 years of metal with a special 50th-anniversary tour set to launch next year.

Bassist Ian Hill says they haven’t mapped out any specifics yet, but have “a few ideas in the pipeline”.  Frontman Rob Halford has previously said the 50th-anniversary tour will be “something everyone will remember”.

The band technically formed in 1969 but weren’t known as Judas Priest until 1970.  Hill says the tour will launch sometime after Priest finishes its makeup dates with Ozzy Osbourne in January and February.
