Kroger Looks To Make Smartphone Covid-19 Test Available At Ralph’s

Kroger, parent company of Ralph’s Supermarkets, plans to offer the first smartphone-enabled at-home rapid antigen test kit nationwide.

The grocer says the test in partnership with Gauss,  is waiting for an emergency use authorization from the FDA.

Once approved, it will be the first rapid COVID-19 test that can be fully performed with only a smartphone and no lab testing, telemedicine visit, or specialized technology.

Test users follow directions of a step-by-step video in an app to correctly use the nasal swab and complete the test.

The results are available in just  15 minutes.

Kroger expects the test to be available online and over the counter at its 22-hundred pharmacies nationwide once given the green light.
