Repairs Needed After Big Rig Overturns, Spills 40 Tons Of Limes

An early morning crash yesterday on Interstate 10 Westbound near Eagle Mountain, east of the Coachella Valley, has damaged 120 feet of guardrail on the freeway, and 60 feet of railing and concrete on a nearby bridge.

The crash occurred at 2:15 Monday morning September 14th 2020, and spilled 80-thousand pounds of limes onto the freeway.

The limes were onboard a tractor trailer that overturned.

No major injuries reported.
