While en route to a job interview, Fredd Jordan stopped off at a roadside convenience store to purchase some scratch-offs.

Turned out to be a smart move, as the semi-retired chef from North Carolina hit big, turning that $5 lottery ticket into $200,000.

Jordan says he plans to invest the $141,501 after-tax jackpot but might also take a trip to California to visit family.

And while he admits he “Couldn’t believe it,” he didn’t tell lottery officials whether or not he got the gig.
