Despite the angry overtones in the music it produces, the metal community is one big love-fest.

That’s according to Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, who says the genre is like an exclusive club in which everyone has each other’s backs. “There’s religion and there’s politics out there, and there’s so much division,” Welch says. “And the metal community is so inclusive and united.

Because they have respect for the metal community and the different styles and whatnot. And that’s not always the case, but the majority of the time it is the case. I love that about our community.” Welch and his bandmates are currently spreading the metal love on a tour in support of their latest album, Requiem.
