After a lengthy lockout in which some thought there might not even be a season, Opening Day for Major League Baseball has arrived.

The 2022 season gets underway this afternoon (Thursday) with the Milwaukee Brewers at historic Wrigley Field to face the Chicago Cubs.

A few other notable games: Kansas City Royals phenom Bobby Witt Jr. will make his highly-anticipated MLB debut against the newly named Cleveland Guardians.

And tonight features the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves against the Cincinnati Reds.

More season-opening matchups are on the way tomorrow (Friday), including the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. Their game was bumped from today because of bad weather.
