July 14th, 1982 was a landmark day for London’s Empire theater in Leicester Square. Why? It was the day it hosted the world premiere of Pink Floyd – The Wall.

Not only did the band members attend, but also musicians from The Police, Queen and more, as well as director Alan Parker and Bob Geldof.

After The Walls screen debut, Steven Spielberg reportedly asked the question “What The F@#$ was that?”
