Aerosmith’s Las Vegas residency is turning out to be a boom for fans. Not only has it brought a dedicated venue to catch the band and a museum of their historical artifacts, but it could also net a new album.

Sitting down with Guitar Player magazine, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford revealed that hanging in Sin City has motivated them creatively.

According to the guitarist, not having to travel has been the biggest benefit, noting, “I actually think there’s a good chance something like a new record could come out of this experience.”

Whitford admits that not much material has been written, but they could knock out some covers, adding, “The key would be to keep it light and keep it fun. That’s what it’s supposed to be about, right?”
