5.07% of the people tested for Covid-19 in California have tested positive. That’s 877,784 people.

 

94.92% of the people tested for Covid-19 in California have tested negative.  That’s 16,415,355 people.

 

California has 17,027 deaths from Covid-19, which is 1.93% of those who have tested positive.

 

California hospitals report 3/10th’s of 1% of the people who have tested positive, are hospitalized, which is 3,077 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the hospitals. 763 of those patients are in ICU.

At 10 a-m on Tuesday October 20th, The State of California pushed Riverside County back into the restrictive Purple Tier, for Widespread risk of Covid-19 transmission.

 

Riverside County has tested 772,027 people for Covid-19 since March 2020, out of a population of 2.5 million.  That’s 30.88% of the County’s population.

 

1,727,973 people still need to be tested in the county, that’s 69.11% of the county’s population.

 

8.42% of the people tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County have tested positive. That’s 65,056 people.

 

91.57% of the people tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County have tested negative.  That’s 706,971 people.

 

Of the 65,056  people who have tested positive in Riverside County,

89.85% of them, 58,458, have fully recovered.

7.92% of them, 5,156 are at home recovering.

Together, that’s 97.77% of all the positive cases.  388 new cases in the county in the past 24 hours.

 

2/10th’s of 1%, of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 167 people, remain hospitalized, and 37 of them are in Intensive Care.

 

2% of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 1,275 people, have died from Covid-19.

360 of those deaths have been in the Coachella Valley, which is 28.23% of the County’s total. 325 deaths in cities, 35 deaths in unincorporated areas…9 in Mecca,  1 in Vista Santa Rosa, 3 in Bermuda Dunes, 5 in Garnet, 3 in Desert Palms, 5 in Desert Edge, 5 in Oasis, 1 in Thousand Palms, 2 in Sky Valley and 1 in North Shore.

Of the 1,275 people who have died from Covid-19 in Riverside County, 886 of them have been over 65; 324 have been between 45 and 64.

Rite Aid is doing Covid-19 testing by appointment for people 18 years of age or older, regardless of whether the person is experiencing symptoms. Results are expected in three to five days.

 

The Coachella Valley locations providing testing starting Thursday July 16th 2020 are:
