4.88% of the people tested for Covid-19 in California have tested positive. That’s 1,037,978 people.

 

95.11% of the people tested for Covid-19 in California have tested negative.  That’s 20,221,098 people.

 

California has 18,299 deaths from Covid-19, which is 1.76% of those who have tested positive.

 

California hospitals report 4/10th’s of 1% of the people who have tested positive, are hospitalized, which is 4,885 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the hospitals. 1,206 of those patients are in ICU.

 

The case rate in California is 16.5 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people. The Positivity rate is 5.2%

Riverside County stats as of Weds morning November 18th 2020.

 

On Wednesday November 18th 2020, Riverside County remains in the California’s most restrictive Purple Tier, for Widespread risk of Covid-19 transmission. The case rate in the County has ballooned to 22.4 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people.  The Positivity rate is now at 8.9%.

 

Riverside County has tested 956,598 people for Covid-19 since March 2020, out of a population of 2.5 million.  That’s 38.26% of the County’s population.

 

1,543,402 people still need to be tested in the county, that’s 61.73% of the county’s population.

 

8.02% of the people tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County have tested positive. That’s 76,724 people.

 

91.97% of the people tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County have tested negative.  That’s 879,874 people.

 

Of the 76,724 people who have tested positive in Riverside County,

84.81% of them, 65,073 have fully recovered.

12.95% of them, 9,939 are at home recovering. Together, that’s 97.76% of all the positive cases.  876 new cases in the past 24 hours.

There are 10,277 active cases in the County as of 11/18/2020.

 

4/10th’s of 1%, of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 338 people, remain hospitalized, and 81  of them are in Intensive Care.

 

1.81% of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 1,374 people, have died from Covid-19. Zero new deaths in the past 24 hours.

 

394 of those deaths have been in the Coachella Valley, which is 28.67% of the County’s total. 355 deaths in cities, 39 deaths in unincorporated areas…11 in Mecca,  1 in Vista Santa Rosa, 3 in Bermuda Dunes, 5 in Garnet, 3 in Desert Palms, 5 in Desert Edge, 5 in Oasis, 1 in Thousand Palms, 2 in Sky Valley, 2 in Thermal,  and 1 in North Shore.

 

Of the 1,374 people who have died from Covid-19 in Riverside County, 956 of them have been over 65; 350 have been between 45 and 64.

 

Coachella Valley Overall: 17,538 positive cases have been recorded in the Coachella Valley since March 8th 2020, when the testing and counting began. 88.27% of them, 15,482  people, have recovered. There are 2,056 active cases in the desert on 11/18/2020. 110 new cases in the past 24 hours.

87.48%, or 2,064 people have recovered from Covid-19 in unincorporated areas:

Mecca 473, Thermal 190, Oasis 351, North Shore 147, Bermuda Dunes 144,

Thousand Palms 250, Vista Santa Rosa 101, Garnet 239, Desert Palms 48, Desert Edge 69, Sky Valley 52.  317 active cases of Covid-19 in unincorporated areas as of 11/18/2020.

813 deaths are men, 555 are women, and 0 are transgender, non-binary or intersex according to county officials.

 

Riverside County has 3,559 cases in nursing homes, with 2,200 cases among patients, and 1,359 cases among staff. The overwhelming majority of nursing home cases, 957 cases, are in the City of Riverside.

In Coachella Valley nursing facilities, there have been 192 cases in Palm Desert, 175 in Palm Springs, 77 in Rancho Mirage, 58 in Indio, 53 in La Quinta,

Rite Aid is doing Covid-19 testing by appointment for people 18 years of age or older, regardless of whether the person is experiencing symptoms. Results are expected in three to five days.

 

The Coachella Valley locations providing testing starting Thursday July 16th 2020 are:

 

 12900 Palm Drive, Desert Hot Springs;

— 51101 Cesar Chavez St., Coachella;

— 47985 Monroe St., Building A, Indio; 

 

The sites will utilize self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists, and will operate weekdays from 10 a.m to 8 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Patients must provide government-issued ID, and register online at www.riteaid.com to schedule an appointment.
