Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford says that “there’s definitely a new Judas Priest album on the way.”  Speaking to Australia’s May The Rock Be With You, Halford says that the band has already discussed a new album, crediting the fans support, calling the metal community “wonderful.”

Halford also says that Judas Priest is a “working metal band” saying the band has achieved a nearly 50-year career by “making yourself relevant.  He also calls the fact that he has been able to make metal music for so long “a blessing.”

Judas Priest is apart of some of the biggest rock festivals in the U.S. this spring, like Jacksonville, Florida’s Welcome To Rockville.  Judas Priest also has a tour planned with Uriah Heep.

The 32-date trek begins May 3rd in Hollywood, Florida.  Halford has also mentioned that he is preparing to write his autobiography very soon.
