When fans check out Rob Zombie on tour this summer, they’ll notice he’s not playing unfamiliar material. That’s because the singer says “absolutely not” to breaking out any new stuff from his eventual next album at these co-headlining shows with Marilyn Manson.

Speaking to Revolver, Zombie reveals his two-fold reasoning. “First of all, nobody wants to go to concerts and hear songs they don’t know. Nobody — and if they say they do, they’re full of s**!”

Zombie believes, adding that showcasing new stuff puts extra pressure on an artist. “Second, if you do that, everybody films it and puts it on YouTube, and starts prejudging something they don’t even know about.

When we do put it out, we’ll put it out perfectly. You’ll have your record, your artwork, your videos and yada, yada, yada.”
