Sharks Lovin’ California’s Warmer Waters

There is a record number of sharks off California’s coast.

The Shark Lab at California State University Long Beach has tagged 38 sharks in 2020, which is more than triple the number tagged last year.

Marine researchers say this year the shark clusters are larger and have stayed in the coastal waters longer than in the past years.

Scientists say the sharks usually migrate south when water temperatures get to the low 60’s.
