Some retail businesses in Riverside County will be allowed by the State of California to offer curbside pickup starting Friday, May 8th.

Florists, toy stores, department stores, bookstores, jewelry stores, sporting goods, music, clothing, antique, and home furnishing stores will also be allowed to open but only for curbside delivery and pickup only.

Supply chains supporting these businesses, in manufacturing and logistical sectors, may also operate.

However, there is still NO dining room eating in restaurants throughout California.

Many restaurants have already folded, unable to sustain themselves on simply takeout orders and delivery.

Beauty salons and barbershops remain closed in California.

All of this is part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s Stage Two economic reopening plan.

Riverside County Supervisors Karen Spiegel is expressing her disgust that the Governor is not allowing a quicker reopening of business, and says she is disappointed with the limited list of businesses being allowed to open.
