The Study You’ve Been Waiting For: Cannabis Could Help Fight Coronavirus

Finally, a scientific study worth getting excited about – researchers in Canada say that cannabis might help fight coronavirus infection.
The study identified 13 strains of cannabis that help regulate a protein called ACE2, which is targeted by the virus in the mouth and lungs.
They say cannabis helped reduce virus activity by as much as 73 percent in some cases. However, it might not quite be time to light one up in celebration – the study has not yet been peer-reviewed, or even tested on humans so far.
