A would-be robber in Rio de Janeiro sure picked the wrong person to mess with on Saturday night, and his face paid quite the price.

UFC star Polyana Viana got the sense that something was up after the man asked her for the time, so she put her phone in her pocket. Claiming to be armed, the man then demanded she give up the device.

Realizing that he was standing too close to her to draw a weapon, the strawweight fighter “threw two punches and a kick,” then grabbed the man in a chokehold, telling him, “Now we’ll wait for the police.”

According to Viana, the man, who was carrying a cardboard cutout of a gun, actually asked her to call the cops because “he was scared I was going to beat him up more.”
