Uber has changed its policy for wearing masks on rides.
The ride-share company has dropped its mask requirement for both drivers and customers.

“The CDC order requiring masks while using rideshare platforms such as Uber is no longer in effect, and we’ve revised our COVID-19 mask and front-seat policies accordingly,” Uber sent to its customers on Tuesday.

Uber also dropped the requirement for people to only sit in the back seat, though encouraged skipping the front by the driver unless a large party would be getting picked up.

The move comes just a day after the Biden administration’s mask mandate for air and public transportation was struck down.
