An Indiana man running for local office managed to win his primary election – despite the fact that he’s currently behind bars on murder charges.

40-year-old Andrew Wilhoite is accused of killing his wife Nikki in March, and is being held without bail awaiting trial.

Despite that, Wilhoite somehow took 60 out of 276 votes in the Republican primary for Clinton Township Board.

But he might not be able to run – Wilhoite’s trial is in August, and if he’s convicted of a felony he’ll be removed from the ballot before the election in November.
