Election Or Not, There’s Still Covid-19

California has tested 18,912,501 of its 40 million people for the Covid-19 virus, since March 2020.  That’s 47.28% of the population.

 

21,087,499 people still need to be tested in California, that’s 52.71% of the state’s population.

 

4.92% of the people tested for Covid-19 in California have tested positive. That’s 930,628 people.

 

95.07% of the people tested for Covid-19 in California have tested negative.  That’s 17,981,873 people.

 

California has 17,672 deaths from Covid-19, which is 1.89% of those who have tested positive.

 

California hospitals report 3/10th’s of 1% of the people who have tested positive, are hospitalized, which is 3,241 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the hospitals. 823 of those patients are in ICU.

Riverside County remains in the California’s most restrictive Purple Tier, for Widespread risk of Covid-19 transmission.

 

Riverside County has tested 846,276 people for Covid-19 since March 2020, out of a population of 2.5 million.  That’s 33.85% of the County’s population.

 

1,653,724 people still need to be tested in the county, that’s 66.14% of the county’s population.

 

8.14% of the people tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County have tested positive. That’s 68,920 people.

 

91.85% of the people tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County have tested negative.  That’s 777,356 people.

 

Of the 68,920 people who have tested positive in Riverside County,

89.11% of them, 61,421 have fully recovered.

8.70% of them, 5,998 are at home recovering. Together, that’s 97.81% of all the positive cases.  305 new cases in the past 24 hours.

 

2/10th’s of 1%, of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 179 people, remain hospitalized, and 43  of them are in Intensive Care.

 

1.93% of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 1,322 people, have died from Covid-19. 375 of those deaths have been in the Coachella Valley, which is 28.36% of the County’s total. 338 deaths in cities, 37 deaths in unincorporated areas…10 in Mecca,  1 in Vista Santa Rosa, 3 in Bermuda Dunes, 5 in Garnet, 3 in Desert Palms, 5 in Desert Edge, 5 in Oasis, 1 in Thousand Palms, 2 in Sky Valley and 1 in North Shore.

 

Of the 1,322 people who have died from Covid-19 in Riverside County, 920 of them have been over 65; 336 have been between 45 and 64.

 

16,054 positive cases have been recorded in the Coachella Valley since March 8th 2020, when the testing and counting began. 93.17% of them, 14,959  people, have recovered. There are 1,095 active cases in the desert on 11/3/2020.

 

2,181 cases are in unincorporated areas of the desert since March 2020.

(Mecca 493 cases, Thermal 197 cases, Oasis 369 cases,  North Shore 162 cases, Bermuda Dunes 153 cases, Thousand Palms 257 cases, Vista Santa Rosa 107 cases, Garnet 253 cases, Desert Palms 55 cases, Desert Edge 81 cases, and Sky Valley 54 cases).

91.88%, or 2,004 people have recovered from Covid-19 in unincorporated areas:

Mecca 459, Thermal 187, Oasis 344, North Shore 145, Bermuda Dunes 137,

Thousand Palms 243, Vista Santa Rosa 100, Garnet 229, Desert Palms 44, Desert Edge 67, Sky Valley 49.  Only 177 active cases of Covid-19 in unincorporated areas as of 11/3/2020.

 

13,873 Covid-19 cases reported in cities in the desert, since March 2020.

93.38% of those people, 12,955 people have recovered. Only 918 active Covid-19 cases in cities in the Coachella Valley as of 11/3/2020.

2,128 cases in Cathedral City, 35 dead     1,995 people have recovered

2,949 cases in Coachella,      32 dead     2,779 people have recovered

1,240 cases in Desert Hot Springs, 28 dead, 1,148 people recovered

55 in Indian Wells,   4 dead               50 people have recovered

4,113 cases in Indio, 83 dead              3,800 people have recovered

934 cases in La Quinta, 19 dead            853 people have recovered

1,159 cases in Palm Desert,  58 dead       1033 people have recovered

1,216 cases in Palm Springs, 55 dead       1,061 people have recovered

279 cases in Rancho Mirage,  24 dead       236 people have recovered

25 cases in Idyllwild/Pine Cove, 1 death;   22 people have recovered

69 cases in Cabazon, 1 dead;                63 people have recovered

 

In Riverside County:

 

There are no deaths from Covid-19 for anyone from newborn to age 17.

deaths among people aged 18-24.

58 deaths among people aged 25-44

336 deaths among people aged 45-64

628 deaths among people aged 65-84

292 deaths among people aged 85 and up.

 

775 deaths are men, 541 are women, and 0 are transgender, non-binary or intersex according to county officials

 

Riverside County has 3,559 cases in nursing homes, with 2,200 cases among patients, and 1,359 cases among staff. The overwhelming majority of nursing home cases, 957 cases, are in the City of Riverside.

In Coachella Valley nursing facilities, there have been 192 cases in Palm Desert, 175 in Palm Springs, 77 in Rancho Mirage, 58 in Indio, 53 in La Quinta,

Drive-thru testing is available by appointment only at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio  from 9 a-m to 3 p-m Tuesday through Saturday, by appt only. You can also get tested at the Cathedral City Library on Date Palm Drive. Rite Aid is doing Covid-19 testing by appointment for people 18 years of age or older, regardless of whether the person is experiencing symptoms. Results are expected in three to five days.

 

The Coachella Valley locations providing testing starting Thursday July 16th 2020 are:

 

 12900 Palm Drive, Desert Hot Springs;

— 51101 Cesar Chavez St., Coachella;

— 47985 Monroe St., Building A, Indio; 

 

The sites will utilize self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists, and will operate weekdays from 10 a.m to 8 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Patients must provide government-issued ID, and register online at www.riteaid.com to schedule an appointment.
