Godsmack Frontman Heading To The Boxing Ring (Corner)

Godsmack frontman Sully Erna is trading the arena stage for the boxing ring – well, at least the ring corner.

Erna will serve as a cornerman at an upcoming boxing match, supporting amateur champion David Tubbs in his pro debut against Ranieiri Souza at the Scars For Scars benefit.

Erna says he has a “passion” for boxing and has trained for the last 19 years.  Trainer Joseph Janik says he was “impressed with Sully’s knowledge”.

The August 16th fight will raise money for mental health awareness.
