‘Heavy Metal Parking Lot’ Celebrates 35th Anniversary

Hard to believe, but it’s been 35 years since the release of one of the all-time great ‘rock docs’ – Heavy Metal Parking Lot.

The classic 1986 mini-doc is celebrating its 35th anniversary by opening up a merch store at hmpl35.com – with quotes from the film on mugs, shirts, stickers, and other swag.

Heavy Metal Parking Lot was filmed outside a Judas Priest concert in Washington D.C. – with plenty of mullets, spandex, and jean jackets on display.  If you’ve never seen it, the whole thing is free to watch on YouTube.
