Mega Millions Jackpot Surpasses 1 Billion Dollars Again

A massive Mega Millions lottery jackpot is up to 1.35 Billon dollars.

No one matched all 6 numbers on Tuesday January 10th 2023.

But even if you match all the numbers in the drawing on Friday January 13th 2023, and win the third-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history, you still won’t get all the money.

The government could take its first cut right off the top, leaving you with about half the jackpot, under 6-hundred-million dollars.

Then, you have to pay income taxes on the amount you do take home.  If you live in a State that taxes lottery winnings, you would have to pay  State income taxes too.

There have been more than 21 drawings since someone last won the Mega Millions jackpot on October 14th 2022.

The largest prize in the game’s history was more than one-point-five Billion bucks in 2018.
