Plane Lands on Southern California Street
April 2, 2019 9:03AM PDT
This would have been quite the scene for anyone out walking the dog or mowing the lawn on Monday. A small plane descended from the sky and landed on a southern California street.
According to a spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration, the Piper PA-28 took off from Long Beach Airport with only the pilot on board, touching down shortly after.
Registered to the Long Beach Flying Club and Flight Academy, the plane only traveled 1.5 miles before landing for an unknown reason. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident and the FAA will investigate.
