Sex Pistols Getting A Biopic

The next band to get the big-screen treatment?  British punk pioneers The Sex Pistols.

Starlight Films is producing a movie that follows the Sex Pistols’ rise and fall, while focusing on manager Malcolm McLaren and his girlfriend, fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, who largely invented England’s 1970’s punk scene.

It’s not the first time the Sex Pistols have appeared on the big screen – Gary Oldman portrayed bassist Sid Vicious in the 1986 movie Sid and Nancy.
