Looking for peace and joy?

Try adding death metal to your yoga or meditation routine. According to a decades long study by Australia’s Macquarie University music lab, people enjoy sad music and aren’t desensitized by gruesome lyrics.

According to Professor Bill Thompson, death metal fans “are nice people,” adding that  “They’re not going to go out and hurt someone.”

He calls the “psychological paradox” “curious” adding that “at the same time we recognise that violence in the media is a socially significant issue.”
