It’s a trope as old as rock and roll itself – the band breaks up to pursue solo careers.  And often the results are… less than stellar.

The folks at Ultimate Classic Rock broke down some of the worst solo albums by big-time rock stars” Albums on the list include Roger Waters’ Radio K.A.O.S., David Crosby’s Oh Yes I Can, and George Harrison’s Gone Troppo.

Sometimes, it’s a less-famous band member who seems to think they were the star – like Dee Dee Ramone’s Standing In The Spotlight, Peter Criss’s Let Me Rock You, or Ray Manzarek’s The Golden Scarab. Special mention goes to Gregg Allman, who teamed up with Cher for 1977’s Two The Hard Way.
