The 2020 Grammy nominations are out, and rock’n’roll was well-represented on the list.

Vampire Weekend led the way with multiple nominations for their album Father Of The Bride, which earned a nom for both Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album, along with a Best Rock Song nomination for “Harmony Hall”.

Other rock bands who were nominated include Tool, Cage The Elephant, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Bring Me The Horizon, and Killswitch Engage.

A couple of late rockers earned posthumous nominations – Chris Cornell for the self-titled Chris Cornell box set, and The Cranberries for In The End, their final album with singer Dolores O’Riordan.
